Dance Classes

Classes are held at: Sunny Hills Church of Christ 2255 N Euclid St. Fullerton CA 92835

Classes are $15 each, 2 for $25 or 3 for $35 (charter funds accepted) and held on most Fridays from January 10th - May 16th

Tap A (ages 7 - adult) 3:00-4:00pm

Tap B (ages 7 - adult) 4:00-5:00pm

Musical Theater Dance 1 (ages 7 -11) 5:00-6:00pm

Leaps and Turns (ages 12 - young adult) 6:15-7:00pm

Musical Theater Dance 2 (ages 12 - young adult) 7:00-8:00pm

Tap C (ages 12 - adult) 8:00-9:00pm

Class Descriptions:

Musical Theater Dance 1 & 2: These will be combination-based classes in which students will learn a routine from different Broadway shows and movie musicals each week! Routines will include songs from classic movie musicals such as The Lion King, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman as well as Broadway staples like Hairspray, Hamilton and Aladdin! If your child loves musical theater and dances around the house, MT 1 is a great option for them! If you are a teen or young adult and are looking to push yourself in a non-beginner environment, MT 2 is for you! 

Tap A: This is a beginner class open to all ages; thus, no experience is required or expected (though you may take it if you've had prior experience!). Tap shoes are advised for this class so make sure you have some by the first class period! Linodes is a cheap brand for beginners that is sold on Amazon!  If you don't have any, you're welcome to soft shoe (although, having tap shoes is preferable!). Come and learn how to tap from the very beginning!  

Tap B and C: These classes are for those who: (1) completed either Tap A or B and are ready to move on or (2) those who want a space to learn/practice different skills! We do not recommend taking this class if you do not have prior tap experience as Tap B is a advanced beginner class and Tap C is a strong intermediate class. Tap shoes are advised for this class so make sure you have some by the first class period! If you don't have any, you're welcome to soft shoe (although, having shoes is preferable!).

Leaps and Turns (NEW!) This will be a technique and tricks class for dancers that are looking to take their musical theatre dancing to the next level. It will mainly include across the floor and center work, breaking down different dance leaps, turns, and tricks specifically in the style of jazz. This class is not meant to replace a ballet technique class and it is highly recommended to take ballet if a dancer is looking for specific technique training. This class is not meant for brand new dancers and assumes students have a musical theatre dance background. Since the class is only 45 minutes, dancers are expected to come to class already stretched. They are welcome to arrive 15 minutes early to stretch on their own.
